Best Brekky! What a find! We found this on a recent drive but will be back!

On the Pacific Highway it can be a long and lonely drive. However, Melba's Verandah in Broadwater is one of those absolute rare gems that you occasionally stumble across. Bev and her husband quite honestly outshine some of the big restaurant names in much bigger areas. Service is fast, friendly and old fashioned hospitality. Bev's food is delicious, generous and leaves you with that warm glow that you've hit the jackpot in choosing to eat there. We found this wonderful restaurant purely by accident and would highly recommend you actually make it a destination when travelling along the Pacific Highway. We had a mixed meal of breakfasts and one of our party tried Bev's wonderful curry. Home-made jams added the finishing touch to a lovely and delicious meal. The ambience combined with the quality of food and service reminded me of great old fashioned country hospitality without any pretension. We stopped here on our way back from Byron Back and Melba's Verandah was definitely the best restaurant experience over the two week holiday.

A lovely setting amongst the trees with excellent food a bonus! .. we really enjoyed the sate beef and vegetable curry, very tasty and great value. We'll be back to try the homemade scones and passion fruit preserve. Don't go past this place without stopping.
