About Masu Izakaya
Self-proclaimed as a Sydney social coop, Masu Izakaya is one of the nearest venues to the Chinese garden of Friendship, located just outside Chinatown on Liverpool Street. Trendy, with modern decor and exposed brick walls and more relaxed in nature than a traditional kaiseki dinner, Masu Izakaya takes inspiration from Tokyo’s informal dining venues tucked down cosy alleyways, offering a place to escape to after work or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion. Adopting a philosophy that reflects Japanese ideals of culinary freshness, Masu Izakaya’s chickens are sourced from local farms, resulting in sumptuous yakitori skewers worth boasting about. Enjoy an abundance of tasty options from vinegar octopus and cucumber salad to large sushi rolls, noodle dishes and even Japanese curries.
