My job is in food product promotion and I travel across Australia for 9 months each year and dine out a minimum 300 days annually. I have traveled extensively overseas also and have dined at literally thousands of restaurants and cafes. I have dined at Oakdene a number of times and it is without question the ultimate dining establishment for consistent excellence anywhere I have dined in the entire world. Executive Chef, Marty Chichester is quite simply a culinary genius and leads a team which produces a flawless meal on every occasion. Add to that a wonderful ambiance and a front of house team equal to that of any other restaurant I have visited and you are guaranteed to have a dining experience, not simply a meal. As the name indicates, Oakdene is a vineyard and produces and serves quality wine in its restaurant as well as providing a cellar door experience for those merely wishing to taste and purchase the wine separately.
We spent a week recently eating and drinking our way around the Bellarine Peninsula. Discovered Oakdene through this site and jolly glad we did. The people here couldn't be more friendly. The meal we had was superb and was one of the many highlights we enjoyed while touring this part of Victoria.
