Yikes. So terrible. I love indian food. I've eaten at almost every indian restaurant on the gold coast. Some are better than others, but I didnt know there was such a thing as 'bad' indian food. This place was just awful. We asked for mild spicing so our son could share and the two main dishes (butter chicken and palak paneer) were so spicy we literally couldn't eat them. And my partner and I usually order medium ourselves, we like a bit of spice. This was just intense chilli. When we complained to the waitress she apologised profusely and bought us a yogurt, which altho a nice gesture didn't actually help much. The butter chicken was full of capsicum, chilli and not at all creamy (i have NEVER seen a butter chicken with capsicum in it??? It is usually creamy and sweet, not spicy and full of capsicum). I'm sure it was some diferent menu item by mistake. We didnt eat either curry. The waitress kept coming to ask if everything was ok but when we answered not really and why she just apoligised but walked away. The garlic naan bread was somewhat stale and chewy (more like a fried pancake) and the cheese naan had not one single shred of cheese in it. The only pleasant things here were the waitress (friendly and somewhat helpful tho not fully, she offered apologies but no refund or remade meal) and the masala chai. This place is more expensive than most other indian restaurants on the coast. But believe me, that is NOT the only reason why the place is always empty. It is really really awful. Stick with Tandoori place, Krish, Haveli, or the many others around all of which really are GOOD.
