About Karrikin
Born in the beauty and fire of new beginnings, Karrikin restaurant on Coldstream Street in Yamba offers an ever-changing four-course set menu, crafted from local, seasonal produce and foraged delicacies. Named for the proteins that bind to soil and renew life in the aftermath of smoke and bushfire, this elegant space blends a cool colour palette with dark wood, artwork and softly glowing pendents to set the scene for inspired dining. Taking cues from native surrounds, expect starting plates that excite and tempt the taste buds such as octopus, beetroot and cherry; before larger choices like beef rump cap, corn, peach and a side of pumpkin, garlic and herbs, or fish, broccoli, fennel and citrus. Divine desserts such as lemon myrtle and finger lime cream pie will delight sweet tooths.

Seriously good
Fantastic find in Yamba. The food was innovative and yet well balanced. The cocktails and wine list acknowledged local producers and the cost was half what you would pay in Sydney or Melbourne. The team were knowledgeable and interested in our comments. Worth a trip to Yamba to have dinner here.

If this was in Sydney, it would already have a hat or two! Food is amazing, service is impeccable and the drinks menu shows respect to local producers and ingredients. One of the best in Australia for serving Australian locally sourced ingredients!!
A Surprising Delight
3 of the 4 courses were truly amazing. The carrot in the first one should go back to the tasting lab. The server Clare was first rate. It was a truly enjoyable meal.

What a wonderfull experience to taste Karrikins amazing different dishes compared to what others do . Every dish was amazing and one of the best things was all dishes were Original , like how do they create such tasteful , beautiful , flavour food that’s so organic and great for your health . Best Healthy Restaurant in Yamba !! Great backyard section for family and kids and a big beautiful Frangapenny to go with it . Great atmosphere with the building , staff & food ! Cheers Rob .

Every meal is absolutely exquisite, from perfectly balanced flavours, to each dish looking like a piece of art. Clare and Zac support local and use the most fresh ingredients they can find having a set menu that changes weekly. It’s not just dinner it’s an experience, one you won’t want to miss if you’re visiting Yamba.
