For almost 30 years, Jacks Satay Bar has been dishing up modern mouth-watering Malaysian fare to Moonee Ponds locals. Stroll along Mt Alexander Road and find this relaxed and friendly restaurant, where exposed brick walls and a vibrantly glowing neon sign welcome guests into trendy surrounds of an aqua bar and high black stools. Take a seat as fragrant aromas and the buzz of lively conversation fill the air, to ponder a menu highlighting Jacks' infamous satay sauce made from Grandma Ho's recipe, gently cooked for hours to achieve the flavour the restaurant is known for. Perhaps start with prawn satay skewers, or crispy wontons with sweet chilli sauce; before a main affair of Chef's special char-grilled Wagyu beef, wok tossed with snow peas and bean shoots, finished with tangy plum sauce.

Great atmosphere
We’ve been going to Jack’s for many many years now as the atmosphere is fabulous but most of all the food is always to a great standard and never disappoints us. The staff are very friendly and terrific service.
