Jaaning Tree

To die for. There are no other words to describe The Jaaning Tree. We have recently moved two and a half hours south of Nambucca would love Clayton Donovan to open a restaurant here. A friend from trendy inner city Sydney remarked that the Jaaning Tree was the best restaurant he had ever eaten at. Very high praise indeed! Nothing compares. Everything about the Jaaning Tree is individual and first class! Oh! How we miss you!

Jaaning Tree is one of my favourite restaurants in the area. The food really is top quality. Both the kangaroo and the crocodile dishes are sensational. Not to mention the cake-like Lemon myrtle bread and the Creme Brûlée dessert. Clayton is a very talented chef and is full of local knowledge. The restaurant has a gorgeous outlook onto the water where you can spot a pelican or two. Jaaning Tree is very good value for such a quality experience. I can't wait to go back.

The whole dining experience was exceptional with each course better than the last ending with the Creme Brulee.

Impressive- good service, great location and wonderful food. Left me with a mouth full of taste sensations. Will make sure I always make this my port of call when travelling. Well worth a visit from anywhere

Great ambience, great food, great service - it's well worth the drive from Coffs Harbour. The menu is original and fresh; the location is very special. Congratulations Clayton and Jane!

Superb food in spectacular location with views to everywhere. Sensibly limited menu with interesting bushtucker and asian blends that just work. Lemon myrtle blends are wonderful examples. Professional service, friendly without being overweening. Interesting wine collection. Food is not cheap, but worth the splurge (and cheaper than Sydney prices for same quality) and now there's a tapas lunch option that gives an affordable taste selection. Half way between Sydney and Brisbane and worth an overnight stop nearby. Best food on the mid-north coast. Don't miss it. Has to be a serious hat candidate.
