True to name, Hallams specialises in freshly caught seafood, evident in dishes like Moulting Bay oysters with cucumber and shallot dressing; or grilled yellowtail kingfish, carrot puree, Brussel sprouts, toasted almonds, sage and burnt butter. Meat lovers can delve into eye fillet, silverbeet, shallots, potato galette and peppercorn jus.

Established in 1996, Hallams Waterfront Seafood Restaurant continues to source wild and farmed seafood, including Tasmanian Rock Lobster & Crayfish from pristine waters around Tasmania.

Located in a lovingly renovated early 20th Century wooden tea-room style building, Hallams Waterfront Seafood Restaurant is situated on the Launceston waterfront overlooking the Tamar Yacht Club.

The main dining room's timber features add a soft rustic touch to the sun drenched room. The strong aura and warmth makes Hallam's a great choice for long leisurely lunches or special events. Available for functions, Hallam's is a popular choice for weddings, corporate groups and celebrations.

Open for lunch and dinner, you can enjoy a wide range of Tasmania's finest seafood produce, both wild and farmed. The menu is seasonal and can be expected to change however, Hallams specialises in Tasmanian Rock Lobster, line caught Tasmanian Fin fish and premium farm fish, all sourced from Tasmanian fishermen. A house favourite is the Tasmanian Cray and Seafood Platter which includes half a Crayfish cooked to your liking, as well as Oysters, Scallops, Calamari, Prawns, Mussels, Smoked Salmon and Fresh Fin Medley.

Beautiful food! Loved the beetroot cured salmon and the seared tuna. The mussels in saffron broth was so full of flavour. Dessert menu was a bit lacking. A lovely dining experience.
