About Elichi

For modern Indian cuisine that is second to naan, Black Rock diners head to Elichi on Bluff Road. Meaning cardamom in Indian, this sister restaurant to Babu Ji in St Kilda and Hawthorn's Piquancy, rocks a sleek fit out of charcoal tones, black leather and blond timber to set the mood for intimate dining and cocktails with an Indian twist. Get creative with snacks like crab, heirloom tomatoes, yoghurt granita and rassum dressing, before taking a street tour through flavoursome temptations of Sher Wagyu Chettinad, eggplant, baby corn and onion achar. Those seeking a traditional curry can delve into a rich beef stew with young coconut and kaffir lime leaf, paired with basmati rice and cheese naan; be sure to save room for gulab jamun semifreddo with pistachio crumb, berries and peach sorbet.

Delicious food and great enviornment

Great way to experience Indian food. Love the modern twist to traditional indian cuisine .
An amazing mordern take on some really popular traditional indian delicacies. Every elemnt on plate was bespoke. The taste notes are to savour for anyone who enjoys contemporary cuisne with suttle nuances of Indian Culinary roots. I won't be surprised if Elaici makes it to best Indian restaurant in Melbourne over a very short time.
