About Currency Cafe
A fresh approach to café dining and friendly service culminates at Currency Café in Hobart. Sitting on the site of the Old Commonwealth Bank building in Lindisfarne, this historic venue has been transformed into an eatery complete with an urban rustic feel by way of dark timber walls and a healthy dose of street cred, making it a popular choice for locals. Start the day with an ultra-green bowl – avocado, mushrooms, broccolini, beans, zucchini, cabbage pickle and Japanese dressing; while the lunch crowd devours herb and Parmesan-crusted chicken tenders, slaw and sweet paprika aioli. Perhaps chow down on lamb koftas, flatbread, miso chickpea purée, pomegranate, fennel, herb salad and harissa yoghurt; or a classic beef burger and chips, best enjoyed with a glass of Ninth Island Pinot Noir.
