About Chicken Institute
Finger lickin’ good fried chicken and Korean fusion fare are on the menu at the Chicken Institute on Campbell Street in Surry Hills. This playful venue boasts softly glowing Edison bulb lighting and Asian wall murals along with rustic timber to set the scene for all things chicken; while on balmy Sydney days sit street side and people watch while sipping an icy beer. As the menu states there’s damn good chook four different ways – think juicy boneless thighs, coated in a light batter with peanut butter, coconut, coriander and jalapeno, sides of Asian slaw and kimchi poutine with cheddar and gravy. Perhaps wrap your hands around a delicious barbeque pork and lettuce wrap with kimchi and miso paste; while whole flounder coated in a buttery curry sauce will satisfy larger appetites.
