About Cafe Gia
Home cooked Italian flavours awaits diners at Café Gia on Butterfield Street in Herston. This charming weatherboard café has an inviting interior of polished floors and whitewashed walls, dominated by an eclectic blackboard mural; while pendent lights cast an ambient glow over cosy tables, ideal for a lazy breakfast or leisurely lunch. On balmy days, dine alfresco and catch up with friends for coffee and plates such as butter, garlic and thyme sautéed mushrooms, rocket, pesto, housemade labneh and toasted pine nuts on ciabatta. Be enticed by Nonna’s meatballs, melted mozzarella and Turkish bread; or wrap your hands around a Gia beef burger topped with caramelised onion, tomato, lettuce, mayo and BBQ sauce, with sweet potato wedges. Grab a sweet treat from the cabinet to go on your way out.

My favourite café
I’m addicted to the food at Café Gia!! If I could eat here every day I would. I travel up from the Gold Coast weekly because I crave it. Really does help that all the staff are so welcoming and friendly! They even remember exact how I have my coffee! I love it!
