Spent a wonderful night at Studio 54. The meals were just sensational the host and chief was fantastic, came to table and had informal chat which I believe should be done more at restaurants. Steve was not pretentious and wanted to know if there was any complaints as to how to make the evening more appealing - we could not fault the meal the service in any way. DEFINATLEY GO BACK ON A REGULAR BASIS.

Food perfection, superlative service and my new favourite
A crisp, clean understated stylish environment - with a pervading sense of calmness and service excellence welcomes the clientele. There is a palpable sense of striving for perfection in food quality and presentation. We commenced with summery cocktails, crisp cold wines and finished off with good coffee, that was perfect for our holidaying guest. Chef Steven impressed with a friendly willingness to be flexible with portion sizes and accompaniments to suit dietary needs of diners, and then - our other worldly food experience. Stunning signature entrees, smoked seafood, heavenly Duck Pate, a main of Barramundi perfectly cooked and served (at the diner's request) with crisp Chinese cabbage slaw. The most perfectly cooked quail I have ever had the good fortune to be served - generous portions served warm in a variation on the Waldorf Salad and for the third diner the most unusual take on "fish and chips" you will ever experience. I could not leave without trying the richly decadent (but not too sweet) Bistro 54 chocolate, peanut brittle concoction. I am at a loss as to understand why people are not queued around the block to get a table - particularly at lunch times. Visitors to Sydney will be delighted with interesting heritage buildings in one of Sydney's oldest suburbs with quiet unhurried walks or bus services that take you down to the various harbour vantage points. You could arrive by ferry and take a bus or cab to the restaurant.
