A passion for food, the ocean and the rugged headlands of the North Coast is brought to the table at Anchor Kitchen & Bar on Market Street in Woolgoolga. The brainchild of three friends who have combined different life skills to create this sleek new venue, expect to chill out in surrounds of polished concrete, a wooden ceiling feature made from locally sourced trees and dominant wall mural of an octopus, which glows softly in evening light. With a menu crafted from freshly caught seafood and ingredients foraged from around the region, perhaps reel in a starter such as battered King prawns, smoked local honey and shaved bonito; before hooking a main like fish of the day, with rustic fries and salad. Team a signature cocktail with lemon tart and butternut cream for an indulgent finish.
