About Julian Rocks
Only 2.5 kilometers from the shores of Byron Bay, Julian Rocks Marine Reserve is a unique habitat providing shelter and food for sea turtles, rays, corals, and over 500 different species of fish. During cooler winter months grey nurse sharks visit Julian Rocks, while leopard sharks can be seen on almost every dive during mid-summer. Also in summer and early autumn manta rays cruise elegantly through the waters feeding on plankton completely undisturbed by inquisitive scuba divers.
