Boo’s Kitchen Overview

Bringing families together through food is the aim of Woolloongabba restaurant Boo’s Kitchen on Annerley Road. With a focus on Northern Thai and Isan cuisine, this bright and breezy restaurant has an abundance of natural light with a glass frontage, or dine alfresco under market umbrellas and soak up the sun. From breakfast to dinner, Boo’s extensive menu dishes up a collection of favourites from her family home, including an early-riser Asian omelette, with a splash of soy sauce and jasmine rice. Those dining later can delve into the likes of Boo’s signature Isan style salmon custard – steamed curried salmon with herbs – or perhaps lightly battered and deep fried soft shell crab in yellow curry. Not in the mood for Thai food? Try the club sandwich, or cheeseburger with chips and gravy.

Best Known For

Traditional Isan style papaya salad platter with pork crackling, Asian ham, boiled eggs, rice noodles and fresh vegetables; Wagyu steak crying tiger – strips of tender steak, served with hot dipping sauce; traditional green curry.

Boo’s Kitchen is bringing the fresh flavours from Northern Thailand, alongside some classic Western favourites in their Woolloongabba-based kitchen. The family-owned business is located across the road from the Mater Hospital, in their open dining space that has seating indoors, as well as plenty of tables outdoors. The relaxed atmosphere provides a tranquil space away from the hustle and bustle outside.
