the service was absolutely fantastic ,staff were very freindy and down to earth,the meal i had was second to none...absolutely fantastic quality and i would definitely recommend The Astor Grill to everyone....will be going there again very soon

Retaining ageless art deco style with a modern touch, this elegantly refined establishment combines white linen clothed tables, passionate red walls and dark timber fittings to create a setting that is both warm and welcoming. Sourcing the majority of their ingredients from local wholesalers and distributors, Astor Grill’s focus on fresh sustainable produce is showcased on a menu of classic cuisine, aptly partnered with an impressive wine list. Try one of Astor’s signature grass fed Tasmanian grilled steaks or opt for a bistro-style main such as twice cooked duck with sticky black rice or roasted salmon fillet with lemon pesto butter, seasonal greens, fennel and a cauliflower cream.
We are located at 157 Macquarie Street in a 1920's Art Deco building. Our two elegant Dining rooms still retain Art Deco style with a modern touch. We support free range, natural and organic produce and source the majority of our ingredients seasonally from the best producers and distributors around our state.Our Oysters are unique to the Astor Grill and are from our Farm at Pipe Clay Lagoon.
