I love this place! Not the cheapest Asian restaurant in town, but the flavor and quality of the food make it a for favourite. Friendly helpful staff complete the very pleasant experience.
Great little restaurant. Very friendly. Great food. Looks like a good option for calling-up a take away order as well.
Fresh and delicious food with fantastic sevice.
had dinner with a big group and the food was good, varied and good value - which is unusual for a any restaurant to manage for a big group.
Warm and inviting, enjoy a tantalising fusion of Chinese and Malaysian cuisine at Abell’s Kopi Tiam restaurant on Furneaux Street. This Manuka establishment is a popular dining hotspot for locals who spend time unwinding inside, surrounded by an exciting theme of bright red tones in every shade and cosying up in an intimate dining room filled with mouth-watering smells. This family run establishment re-creates traditional recipes handed down through generations to share with loyal diners who return time and time again for sumptuous dishes such as twice-cooked crispy duck with Asian greens, potato mash and a ginger-plum sauce as well as Malaysian rendang with slow-simmered beef in spices, herbs and coconut milk. For a real treat, go for 'my mum’s laksa' with spicy coconut chicken curry.
King prawn and zucchini fritters with vegetable tempura. Teochew fragrant soy pork: pork loins slow-cooked in kecap manis and spices with fried tofu and lily buds.
