Easily the best coffee I've had in Launceston. Delicious brekkie and lunch options as well. The only negative thing is that parking can be a bit limited at times.
Found on the outskirts of Launceston’s city, Tower Cafe is worth a trip for aromatic coffee and mouth-watering café cuisine. Tower Café is tucked into the QV Tower, previously the old Launceston Hospital, with a spacious dining area fit out in calming blue-grey walls adorned in contemporary artwork and stylishly minimalistic decor with room to soak up bright sunshine out on the deck. Sumptuous modern fare takes a healthy turn with locally sourced produce that has diners returning two-fold; if stopping by for breakfast, perhaps delve into smashed avocado with roasted mushrooms, goat’s cheese, a sprinkle of black sesame seeds and a herb emulsion or meet friends for lunch and savour a dish of pan-seared Tasmanian salmon with zucchini, orange and herb salad drizzled in a lime vinaigrette.
Smashed avocado with beetroot relish, poached eggs and pistachio dukkah. Tower super salad of roasted pumpkin and beetroot, tomato, cucumber, quinoa, wild rice, coriander, seeds, goat’s cheese and pistachio dukkah.
