Disappointed in quality of food
We wanted a nice meal for our Wedding Anniversary. Googled seafood restaurants. Menu/food online looked amazing, so we decided on Sammy's for dinner. A lot of the menu items we seen on google were unavailable.
Unfortunately the food quality didn't match the price we paid for the 2 person Australian seafood platter. Oysters weren't fresh, mussles weren't fresh, not a fan of deep fried baby prawns. The only nice seafood on our platter was the barramundi and 6 king prawns. We'd have to say it was more like a pub seafood platter that you'd pay much much less for. We won't be back
I had my wedding function at Sammy's on the Marina and I decided to have a cocktail function. I was concerned that there would not be enough food so paid the top level tier for cocktail food which was the same price per head as my guests having an entr?e and main course and also decided to add 7 dozen oysters as well. I was advised by the Event Coordinator at Sammy's that there would be 18-27 pieces of cocktail food per person and that there would probably be a lot of food left over but on the day of my wedding there was nowhere near that amount of food and all of my guests left hungry. We didn't even see some of the cocktail courses I paid for!! I was embarrassed and humiliated as I paid a lot of money for very little food and it ruined my entire wedding reception!!
Sammy's on the Marina is with out a doubt the best located restaurant on the beach in Adelaide, offering spectacular views, Dolphins in the water, amazing sunsets, Ideal for a romantic evening or any special occasion. Also caters for large groups. We chose from an extensive menu, their signature sea food platter.consisting of nine delectable fresh varieties of sea food, When it was served, it looked amazing, and tasted even better. Sammys on the Marina, is recognized as Adelaide's finest Seafood Restaurant.and we would not disagree. The restaurant is circular on two levels, both offering spectacular views, the decor is elegantly seaside themed. The dessert menu offered a variety of popular favorites, plus a chefs special, which completed a thoroughly satisfying culinary experience. A good range of wines ensure a perfect accompaniment to your choice of meal. The coffee was excellent and so was the service. Reservations recommended.
