A few words from Sth Restaurant

STH is an upscale eatery situated in the affluent neighbourhood of Unley, best known for its eclectic mix of
fashionable boutiques and chic cafes capturing the aspirations and lifestyles of the local community. STH is
situated on the Greenhill Road side of King William Road with ample street parking and easy access on the tram
to the city or beach.
On the southernmost fringe of the city centre of Adelaide, STH at 27 King William Road is a new destination
serving seasonally inspired dishes.
Open on Wednesday to Saturday for Lunch and Thursday to Sunday for dinner .

The 70 square metre space hosts an intimate 45 covers indoors. The design draws inspiration from the classic
brasseries and bistros of Europe, the timeless designs of Mid-Century Modernist heroes Pierre Paulin and De
Sede and is grounded in the Italian heritage of its owner Mark Zito. Offering an Moden Australian menu.
curated from local produce, and produce that is cultivated and procured from family farm in the Barossa Valley.
The restaurant will showcase food and produce from Mark's family farm, where his dad, Gerry Zito, looks after
all plants and animals as he tends to his hobby farm. STH serves up their free range eggs that are from the 80
chickens roaming the farm, as well as growing their fresh herbs and vegetables that are cared for by Gerry.
The creative direction and design by Adrian Condina, showcases his first hospitality project in Adelaide
following an 8 year stint in London designing notable restaurants and benchmark retail establishments globally.
The Adelaide dining experience is at the core of his concept, although referencing Continental Europe of the
past, it is inimitably Australian in feel.
At STH, curved banquettes symmetrically anchor the restaurant and carve out a centrepiece. These are
upholstered in a supple tan quilted leather and set within polished navy semi-circular structures that are teamed
with retro 50s-esque pale blue diner-style tables trimmed in brushed metal detailing. On the outer perimeters of
the restaurant and framing the edges, are six ochre-shade tables paired with caned bistro chairs. Walnut
panelling throughout is rhythmically sectioned with downward linear metal strap trims in a gridded formation.
Within these, hanging alternating deco inspired aged-bronze mirrors mounted with ceramic wall lights take
presence.
The effect is warmth, depth, and movement. A golden-yellow high gloss ceiling arcs downwards elegantly to
meet the wall panels and their metal strapping - a detail that is a subtle nod to train carriages of the past.
Multiple layers and intensities of bespoke lighting are key to creating an atmosphere that can take one
authentically from morning till evening. Terrazzo floors embody the familiar South Australian colour-ways of
intense ochre, darkened sand and other rocky aggregate formations.
To the rear of the restaurant there is a service bar for the restaurant and for the takeaway ‘coffee crowd'.
Characterised by a Rosso Trentino marble bar top with inherent swirling veining of earthy reds and blue-greys,
it ties in magnificently.
Overall, the colours, textures, patinas, and sentiment of the palette take us on a journey from city to coast acting
as a study through the hustle and bustle of the city through rugged landscapes toward calm seas much like the
southern scenic tram ride of old. This is a destination that has been designed to be comfortable, This is a must visit restaurant
if you live in Adelaide or just on holidays.

Perfect Place
The main course featured the Chef's Special, a succulent Roasted Duck Breast served with a cherry-port reduction. The dish was a masterpiece, with the duck cooked to perfection, offering a delightful contrast between the crispy skin and tender meat. The accompanying reduction added a sweet and tangy note that elevated the entire dish.
