Dined at this Hidden Gem a few blocks from the main stretch this weekend just gone, it was amazing, all of the menu items were fresh and full of flavour, the Chef has done his best to source local ingredients and it really tells with the freshness of his dishes, the little touches were brilliant! we had a little watermelon consommé with prosciutto and a steak tartare which was flavoured beautifully, the waitress was attentive (Melissa) the food was beautifully cooked and presented and was out to us in a very reasonable time, and the wine list was strong for a restaurant of its size and sort! Its definitely a place that we would return to again and again!

We were travelling through Wagga this weekend just passed, and our accommodation didn't have a restaurant so we jumped onto trip advisor and we found this awesome place, the 7 of us went in without a booking and we were lucky to get in, this place was quite busy with a large table of about 20. The great thing about this place strait up is that it has an open kitchen so you can see the chefs at work which is always entertaining. The food, we had a combination of breads, oysters, prawn dishes and scallops our group thoroughly enjoyed all of it, I had the scallops and they were gorgeous - perfectly seared w/ corn puree and crisp prosciutto!! We had mains of salmon, steak, pork and lamb all of which was perfectly cooked and flavoursome (I had the pork and man, it was probably the best pork I've had) So not only was the food spectacular and would rival most restaurants on the North Shore here in Sydney but it was the little things the this place offered - a palate cleanser of watermelon consommé w/ dried parma ham and a amuse bush of beef tartare, both were beautifully flavoured and perfect balance between our meals, some Sydney restaurants could learn a thing or two from this kind of service! Thanks to all at the Roundabout Restaurant

Myself and My Husband dined at this Restaurant last December, the first Impression you get when you arrive is "Best Western Restaurant" I didn't realise there was a difference in Best Westerns these days but as my Husband is in the Travel Industry informed me that this was a best Western Plus, so we were expecting a decent if unspectacular meal...Well that's where we were both wrong, it was absolutely Amazing.

We has four course's as follows -

Starter of Charles Sturt Duo - house made bead with black olive tapenade, sun dried tomatoes, buffalo ricotta and vanilla roasted peaches - we both agreed that the unlikely combination of flavours and textures worked spectacularly well together.

Entree's of Exotic Mushroom Ravioli and Prawn Spaghettini - the ravioli was light and delicious, the mixture of mushrooms, walnuts and truffle was great, the cognac butter sauce a little rich but delicious none the less, the Spaghettini is on par with the best prawn dish my husband has ever had, prawns cooked to perfection, perfect balance of lime and chilli, well seasoned and the pasta perfectly cooked.

Mains - Chicken Supreme and Pork Fillet - The chicken had a beautifullycrispy skin, it was tender and moist, the parmesan polenta was very different to what I've had before but the flavours were great, and Bacon jam, Yes bacon jam...who thinks of such a thing...Chef you sir are a genius, the flavours and textures were amazing, my husband had to get a side of it with his meal it was that good, definitely something the chef should consider bottling and selling!!! My Husbands pork was perfectly cooked, nice and juicy, the apple and raisin chutney was sweet and gooey, the Dijon crushed potatoes were perfectly cooked and the right amount of flavour through

Dessert - Chocolate Fondant and Coconut Panna Cotta - the fondant is by far the best I have ever had, perfectly cooked, beautiful and gooey, the gelato was sensational, honey comb delight and the fudge delicious! Panna Cot
