About Levee Food Co
A favourite for Launceston locals and visitors, Levee Food Co on Seaport Boulevard offers a prime selection of Tasmanian steaks and seafood in a relaxed riverfront setting. Bi-fold doors open onto a sunny alfresco area ideal for enjoying a cold brew and people watching, while indoors, a curved bar promises cocktails to savour and blond wood table settings await those with ravenous appetites. With each meal cooked to order to ensure it is fast and fresh, perhaps begin with smoked quail, onion and tomato salsa on sourdough with feta and a balsamic glaze; then delve into mains like Amok curry with scallops, white fish, salmon, prawns, pak choy, crispy shallots and jasmine rice. Pizza lovers pick up a slice topped with tandoori chicken, onion, capsicum, sun-dried tomato and garlic yoghurt.

It is New Years Eve 2017. Eleven of us had a booking at the Levee Food Company Launceston down at the wharf. On arrival we were enthusiastically welcomed and seated in a comfortable modern open plan restaurant, with views across the wharf of boats that were moored, people walking across the decking. This was not a fixed menu, New Years Eve special. We had the choice of a full varied menu from, appetisers, entree, mains through to desserts, accompanied with an excellent wine list. Even though the restaurant was maxed out, we found all our orders were well presented, with out delay and found the service was excellent. Outside there was life music and just along the wharf a fireworks display at 9.30pm
Had a fantastic fathers say lunch. attentative staff , fab food. The crispy skin salmon and marinara pasta were wonderful. At $160 for 4 Mains and 3 desserts plus drinks great value.
