Freycinet is easily the most picturesque spot in Tasmania ... don't forget your camera and be ready for the experience of a lifetime. It's quite remote by mainland standards but that just adds to the beauty as it's never packed with tourists to an uncomfortable standard. Plenty of excellent accommodation to choose from however we weren't that impressed with the Freycinet Lodge (rooms needed upgrading or, at least, a refresh in the decor)

When it comes to activities of the great outdoors, Tasmania has it covered. The Freycinet Peninsula offers a range of active holiday adventures, including rock climbing, sailing and bushwalking. Start the day off with a bang and set out on foot to the Wineglass Bay lookout, giving yourself a couple of hours to make your way down to the below beach.
