About Sokyo

Channelling both Sydney and Tokyo, Sokyo Japanese restaurant is a fusion of two worlds, where chef Chase Kojima will amaze you with a unique, contemporary style of food and flavour. Sokyo offers a personalised dining experience, allowing you to create your own menu from a range of hot and cold Japanese dishes. Bold and complex flavours dominate the dishes at Sokyo, with meals served in the traditional kaiseki style of multi-course Japanese dining. Your experience at Sokyo could include dishes like lamb chop maple miso with burnt baby eggplant or ocean trout sashimi with chilli threads, yuzu and pickled wasabi salsa. Sokyo also has a sake sommelier on hand as the perfect dining accompaniment.

A disappointing experience based on hype. Squashed together in the two-person seating, a long queue to wait to be seated, and several waiters at our table. Food delicious and of high quality but not hat-worthy.

Little Sokyo in Tydney
Busy little place located at the exit of the Star Casino. Make sure you book well in advance. Fresh produce and some terrific combinations. The service was terrific so all in all a pretty good experience. Love the Kirin Lager off the tap. After 6 Kirin's even I started to say Sokyo instead of Tokyo :) #facxual_events?

The food is brilliant! A must is the Scallops! The grilled pork belly is also hard to pass and then the Tempura Pumpkin. Surf the menu it's all fab!

Fantastic in every way, may be pricey, but worth it for a an occasional hello.
