Shira Nui

Food is amazing. The owner Hiro personally works behind the sushi bar and the show of skill is almost as good as the food. I've been to shira nui about 4 times and each visit has been as good as the last. One quirk that has put me off retuning however is that if you wish to make a booking at the sushi bar you must be perpared for Omakase (as the chef recommends) which is great (and expensive) the first or second time but if you have an optinion on what you want to eat (i guess you could call this basic ordering) then you must sit at the tables. Omakase also includes some options (well not really) for more hardened sushi diners with dishes including clam and sea urchin, which some would consider an aquired taste. These quibbles aside I highly recommend shira nui.
