Fantastic service, haven't felt so welcome at a restaurant before! The presentation of the venue is second to none, and you are assured of a good hearty feed without the hefty price tag. Will definitely visit again next time I come to dubbo!
Taming hunger pangs since May 2012, The Lions Pride Cafe & Restaurant has earned more than its fair share of loyal Dubbo followers. It’s not hard to see why; the food’s tasty, the service friendly, and the relaxed country atmosphere distinguished by comfy booths, timber furnishings, barrels, cart wheels and corrugated iron is suitable for all sorts of occasions. Sourcing mostly local ingredients, the menu is designed to satisfy appetites of all sizes, ranging from ‘cubs’ meals’ for the kids to the formidable three-course ‘Lions Share’ challenge. As well as 20 different schnitzel dishes, all made fresh by hand, expect juicy, flame grilled steaks and lighter options like a classic chicken Caesar salad, finishing with desserts like an apple and rhubarb crumble with custard.
Golden waffles with vanilla ice-cream, warm caramel sauce and whipped cream.
Slow cooked tender lamb shanks resting on a bed of mashed potato with sautéed greens and a gravy of rosemary, red wine and honey.
