About La Baracca Espresso Bar & Trattoria

Situated on the edge of Lismore’s CBD, La Baracca Espresso Bar & Trattoria offers Mod Oz cuisine with international flavours. Chef Jumil Dela Torre along with Mario Scholl and Chris Eyles have created a menu of unique dishes that best complement this stylish family-owned and operated restaurant. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, the team at La Baracca will ensure your needs are met for any occasion; begin the day with chiili and feta scrambled eggs with spicy chorizo, on toasted sourdough. Lunch-goers enjoy sticky pork belly bites, bok choy and rice, or shredded duck salad, with bean shoots, carrot, snow peas, cabbage and honey soy dressing; while those dining in the evening may start with oysters and spicy salsa before salmon with creamy dill sauce and saffron-infused risotto.

A few words from La Baracca Espresso Bar & Trattoria

The La Baracca Experience:

Steve & Julianne Krieg have been the proud operators of La Baracca since 2008. Since the devastation of the March 2017 floods, Steve and Julianne have been on a quest to not only recover but to reinvigorate and rediscover what has made La Baracca a true destination experience. With Chefs Jumil Dela Torre, Mario Scholl and Chris Eyles, the menu has been overhauled to offer a fantastic range of choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Combine this with an outstanding wine list, as well as a wide range of hot and cold drink options, La Baracca proudly caters to a broad range of tastes.

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. A fresh, seasonal menu offers a range of hot or cold dishes, combined with locally roasted Botero coffee brewed out of our custom La Marzocco, there truly is no better start to the day.

If lunch is what you are after, be it a business get together, or a catch up with friends or family, La Baracca offers something for everyone. With award-winning wines available by the glass, and a wide range of boutique beers we can ensure that all of your dining needs will be well catered for.

Dinner is where La Baracca really shines. From a romantic night out or dinner with a group of friends, we will ensure your night will be memorable. An extensive cocktail list complements wines with iconic names like Rockford, Henschke, St Hallett and The Lane. Accompanied by truly amazing creations from our kitchen, we will do everything possible to create a night to remember.

As proud as we are of our product, it is our staff that are our greatest asset. Our kitchen team are incredible, and with our partially open kitchen, are always happy to have a chat. Our waitstaff will do everything possible to cater to your needs, with a friendly and happy demeanour. It really is the complete package. Steve, Julianne and all of the team look forward to welcoming you soon.

This is a great local restaurant for a special meal - truly delicious food, beautifully presented. Our only complaint is that they never seem to have much in the way of gluten free desserts - unusual for this area - which unfortunately limits the no. of occasions we will visit. Smarten up guys!

La Barraca never fails... Yum! You must try the vegetarian pasta not on the menu, and if the banana tart is on dessert it is to die for

Another of our regular visits to Lismore topped off with a great coffee, once again. A greater meal selection would be nice although the meals they do offer are done reasonably well, certainly not 5 star but honest and enjoyable for a regional cafe. Service as always very good. A highlight for me this time around.

Sensational! Do not miss the opportunity to go to one of their degustation dinners. As good a food as you’ll have anywhere.
