Phenomenal food with exceptional flavours, from such a diverse menu, backed up by genuinely warm service.
If you are a foodie, skip main street Healesville and the tourists, and try this resturant on the way out of town. Having been there several times, the chef repeatedly produces the most remarkable meals across a diverse range of cuisines. Garlic prawns or the Vietnamese spring rolls may sound like standard entrées, but the flavors brought out by the chef's use of coconut, coriander or other selected accompaniments is phenomenal. A diverse range of main offerings can sometimes mean that some are not done as well as others. This is not the case at Sanctuary House - having now visited several times with family and friends, whether it is more traditional steak or chicken parmigiana, thru to the French Toulouse sausage or the Tikka Masala, each dish has produced great praise and conversations around which is really the best dish. Having the chef, Chris, visit our table to answer our questions, explain his work, and share his obvious passion for his craft, completes the experience. In short, this has become our go to place to give friends a memorable dining experience, with exceptionally warm service led by Helen and a simple selection of great wine. But it is the consistently noteworthy food that keeps us coming back.
