Debacle

I've got to say being new to Canberra that I really like this place. Its probably more what I'm used to in Newtown. It has a great lively bistro feel. It has some good bar food and an even better selection of beers - I can get Bakalar beer there. (I'm not a wine drinker - but friends tell me its a good wine selection too). Service is prompt, atmosphere is unpretentious and open minded and its conveniently located in Lonsdale Street on the city's edge.

Debacle is a classic meeting place dinner on a Friday night. An excellent selection of pizzas and an even wider selection of beers. The perfect place to catch up with mates, have a drink and enjoy a good meal. Located in Braddon, its a small walk into/from the Canberra city. Good value for money.

Doesn't try to be anything other than what it is: cafe, restaurant & sports bar. Consistently good & well priced food & friendly efficient service both of which are hard to obtain in Canberra.
