The aptly named Modern Thai Restaurant blends contemporary design with traditional Thai flavours to create a night of welcoming hospitality in Mount Gravatt on Brisbane's south side. Adorned with subtle modern decor, Modern Thai offers both indoor and covered outdoor seating, and both the interior and menu are designed with careful attention to detail. Each dish abounds with authentic flavours, delicate ingredients and fresh herbs; highly recommended are the chef's specials such as coral trout salad with chilli lime dressing or succulent crispy skin roast duck. For dessert, choose from a range of premium ice creams, sorbets and gelato, or for something a bit more indulgent, take your pick from the decadent cake selection - perhaps the chocolate fudge cake, layered with chocolate ganache.

Best curry puffs I have ever had, but all the food really good. Would recommend.
Myself and my partner went here for the first time the other night just to grab some take-away and I have to say the staff here was probably the best I've ever encounted even as good or better than in some of the 5 star places we've dined in. The food was great! Definately be coming back
stunning food, five stars service, very approachable boss, atmosphere is comfortable, with a picky mouth of mine and all the food tasting i have done all over the world. Modern Thai has to be one of the best restaurant around, Brisbane is very lucky to have such a fine dining :)
Had many a wonderful night here with friends and family. The food is consistently a delight. The staff gracious and accomodating pleased to assist at all times no matter how busy and believe me they can get quite busy even on weeknights!
