Linda's was quite enticing because of the great menu and a very inviting environment. Prices were average for an upscale eatery. The food and service were good. But not excellent. We had a halumi and watermelon salad $9, paella special $20 (only available on Tuesday night) grilled portabellas with feta $9, ginger cake with butterscotch $9, and a bottle of cava $36. Halumi salad was not right. I understand and like the idea of the sweet fruit and the salty cheese, but watermelon was just not the right choice. Perhaps dates, or plums may have worked better. Paella was just ok. Not even close to authentic. A small portion (in comparison to paella houses in Madrid) of rice with not much saffron chicken and shrimp. Mushrooms were tasty, but completely drenched in oil(a bit too much for me) it was served with one small piece of toast. Perhaps a more rustic, larger piece of bread or more would have been enough for the amount of oil. Ginger cake was the best thing we had all night. It was quite perfect. Incredible moist and served at just the right temperature. Butterscotch and ice cream delicious as well. Cava was nothing special. All in all a good night , yummy food but was not blown away. $94 in total, for 4 items and wine.
