Brass Razu Wine Bar

Brass is a wine bar that serves an amazing range of wines by the glass and some really great imported and local beers. Recently it has expanded its list of spirits and has some fab cocktails. The staff are young and friendly. The food is surprisingly nice, although a bit limited, but the staff are honest when you arrive. They tell customers that they are not a restaurant although we had some great tapas dishes including a French grazing plate that included WOW duck thighs and some lovely cheeses to accompany our wine. A real feature of this place is its quirky atmosphere of red velvet curtains, sofas to lounge in and we spent a whole Sunday afternoon relaxing and chatting over our food and wine. Really good value in beautiful Mornington.

Brass Razu has been a favourite of mine for a while, it has a wonderful french vibe and always busy up front. Hot tip (though I hope this doesn't put me at a disadvantage of getting this spot): Get in early and stake a claim on the back room, its small, has an open fire with beautiful wingback armchairs and couches. sipping on a nice glass of cognac will definitly warm the cockles of your heart. not to mention a romantic way to spend an evening. Fantastic wine and beer listing see's this place really shine for me.
