This restaurant is what "dining out" is all about. The sense of value for money comes not only from the menu but the service as well. The menu is is bursting with dishes guaranteed to satisfy the conservative suburban pallete and electrify that of the well travelled. A basic calamari salad is animated by fresh, great quality ingredients mixed with a variety of flavours that compliment each other with almost scientific precision. The calamari itself melts in your mouth. The service is prompt and professional with staff actually taking their place seriously. The owner's constant presence ensures that the needs of the customer and staff are met with great cohesion. As a result, bookings are almost essential. At last, a restaurant that takes the business of food service seriously.

THis restaurant is a breath of fresh air... from the friendly and quick service to the exquisite food. A wonder for the suburbs! and most welcome. We have enjoyed anything from a perfectly presented latte to a four course meal and cannot fault this place. Whilst it tastes and feels like 5 star it also has a friendly family feel about it....

We have visited our new favourite, local 'treat', FLUTE a couple of times now and have been very happily impressed on each occassion.

Paul the owner is genuinely welcoming and attentive - wether we simply stop by for a coffee (which btw is GREAT) or for a meal - which makes the visit so much more enjoyable.

The staff are consistantly fun and always provide excellent service.

The food, so far, has always been fab and the decor is funky, warm, inviting AND amazingly it is also family friendly!

Something we also loved about Flute was that it almost made us a bit home-sick - as it has a very 'Melbourne' vibe to it :) We'll definitely be heading there again.
