From the moment you step out of the elevator you are transported into an old world style bar with a very modern approach to hospitality. You are not a customer but become a guest in someones home with all the hospitality touches you would hope for and expect from a Merivale venue. With emphasis on quality regarding the delicious cocktail menu without forgetting the amazing sushi the icing on the cake is the wonderful staff. Ask and more than likely, you shall receive. Highly recommended!!

hemmesphere is a great spot for afterwork drinks in the CBD. With great table service you don't have to fight the crowds and the cocktail selection is amazing. sushi e next door is a perfect place to grab a quick bite - it's on the expensive side but the value and quality is worth it. The best part is, I have only been in a few times but each time I am greeted by the staff who actually remember my name and my 'drink'. This is service that most sydney bars lack.

There aren't many bars in Sydney where you can get top notch drinks in beautiful surrounds without attitude. Once I've checked out the latest rash of new bars I always end up here because I know the drinks and service will be consistent and top notch, a rarity with all the one hit wonders in this town. The mixologists to me are magicians, turning even something as basic as a margarita into a work of art with a serving of fresh sorbet and a chaser of bubbles. There's alway plenty of inspiration on the menu or I can get the classic of my choice. My current obsession is with pisco sours and you'd be surprised (at least I was) at how few bars stock pisco let alone know how to make one up. I also love having sushi e right there I'd I need something to snack on, as opposed to the limited food menu of wedges and arancini balls most bars offer. I feel like a grown up at hemmesphere and an important none at that and that's why I'll always keep going back.
