Information & Tasting Notes
"'Chais'. Yes, it's a silly name, but don't you worry about that, as a certain State Premier used to say. The wine in the bottle is first-class. This is a powerful cabernet that's just entering its mature phase. The nose is concentrated and ripe with syrupy blackcurrant aromas that are very stylish and lush. It hits the right balance of ripe fruit and oak, and the palate follows suit. Well-balanced with great depth and body. The flavour is long and smooth with ripe tannins softening and some mature leathery notes entering the equation. A fine wine to enjoy with roast veal."
