Over the last few months, I have tried the new, much lauded, restaurant at the Burswood and Riverbank Estate. I know which one I will be going back to.... I am not comparing cost. Neil would do well to learn some tips on presentation from Riverbank. Both restaurants have excellent service, atmosphere and beautiful tasting food, but Riverbank excels in all areas. I find the wines at Riverbank most un-Swan Valley like in that I would liken them to the better Margaret River wines. To Riverbank, I have taken my Vegetarian daughters there for Xmas lunch and had a romantic dinner there. Both times they ticked all the boxes. My daughters were well catered for in their selections, as was my own meatarian tastes... extremely so! The Friday night dinner was beautiful and the string duo presenting the classics was a nice touch. Overall, the ambiance and food was one of the best I have experienced, and the staff made us feel special.
