Donnybrook Motel Overview

Situated 210km south of Perth, Donnybrook Motel Motor Lodge is a single story motel built in the early eighties. Their clean, comfortable and spacious rooms have crisp clean linens and are serviced with fresh towels when you're staying for more than one night. Reverse cycle air con is refreshing when in apple country during the warmer months; they also proudly provide solar hot water units, an environmental initiative. Other perks include microwaves in most rooms –don’t forget to ask- and all feature TV/DVD players for your unwind time. Cooked or continental breakfasts are available, in the comforts of your own room or the dining area, and the restaurant is also open 7 nights for dinner.

NOTES FROM DONNYBROOK MOTEL

There is a visitors car park and a swimming pool that is open in the summer and a nice way to cool down. Free on-site car parking is near each unit with extra parking for visitors and ample parking for trailers with bikes.

We are close to shopping and within walking distance to Australia's largest free fun park and across the road from the fruit barn which sells locally grown fruit. In the heart of apple country, we're approximately 4km from the Old Apple Cider Factory now known as The Real River Company.

Travelling by car we are 210km south of Perth on the South West Highway or by the Trans WA Bus. We are just two blocks north of the bus stop.

The Memorial Hall in Donnybrook is a delightful old building built in 1919 from local Donnybrook sandstone. It was originally built as a dedication to the soldiers who lost their lives in World War I.

It is a 20 minute drive to Ferguson Valley where you will find the famous Gnomesville, the Wild Bull Brewery and the Mad Cow Brewery; also numerous wineries and restaurants, all with magnificent country views, surround Donnybrook. Brookhampton Estate Winery is 4km south of Donnybrook on the south west highway.

Drive 30 minutes south west to Busselton, home of the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere and walk the full length; or catch the train to the end and experience the underwater observatory.

The Balingup Medieval Carnival is held every year in August which is just a short drive south.
