SkyHigh Mount Dandenong Overview

Dining at SkyHigh Mount Dandenong, perched high in the Dandenong Ranges, is nothing short of breathtaking. Unparalleled views from the Mornington Peninsula across Port Philip Bay to the You Yangs National Park provide an ever-changing backdrop to this stylish venue. Grab a seat by the window or on one of the spectacular outdoor viewing terraces, or cosy up by the open fireplace in winter. Even without the views, the food here more than holds its own. Changing seasonally to reflect the best available produce, SkyHigh Mount Dandenong's contemporary menu could feature seared scallops with ginger carrot puree and baby herb salad for entrée, or Moroccan lamb backstrap with chickpea and vegetable cous cous and apricot puree for main.

Wow....I had heard of Sky High but never visited. I was told it was a tourist place and was expecting something like the penguin island. I was completely wrong. It has a proper restaurant with a full a la carte menu, happy and knowledgeable staff, a full wine list and proper chefs. The food was fantastic - aged eye fillet was cooked perfectly and my boyfriend had the lamb which was juicy and looked fantastic. The restaurant was packed, a little noisy but I prefer that than a dead quiet restaurant with no atmosphere. I was lucky enough to get a table near the window and the views were stunning. Almost got carried away with the occasion and proposed to my boyfriend but waited for him to pop the question instead. No luck though.....boys are so dumb!! Actually, there was a wedding going on upstairs at the time which put me off initially as I thought we would get second rate service and the food would take ages but I was proved wrong again. I highly recommend anyone to eat at Sky High, we loved it......
