In a contemporary yet homely environment decorated with bright red Chinese lanterns, sit back and allow award-winning chef Tony Zhao to impress you with his creations including the twice cooked Vietnamese pork belly, coated in a sticky caramel and soy sauce served on an Asian herb salad or perhaps delve into market fresh flathead fillets coated in a beer batter and served with crispy chips, gourmet salad and home-made tartare sauce. If you have a sweet tooth, go classic with a sticky date pudding drizzled with butterscotch sauce, fresh cream and vanilla bean ice-cream or post-modernist with an Italian lemon meringue boat with lemon curd.

Great hidden gem!!
If you need a break on the way to Melbourne. It's one not to miss. The coffee is one of the best, but we were a bit peckish so tried the wagyu burger and the wife had the duck salad. All I can say, if we were not running late for a dinner reservation - I would have tried more on the menu. Needless to say, we made a second visit on the way back up north just to try the menu again.. Very hard to make a wrong choice ( try it all). Also, Very baby and kid friendly, with staff more than helpful to accommodate and warm up our baby milk. High recommendations and TripAdvisor really got this right.
We are enjoying Rendevous in Yea which has become our local eatery since moving to Highlands. Tony is always friendly and provides great service. We are slowly working our way through the menu. Haven't been disappointed yet in the quality, generous serves and reasonable prices.
Great food and great service. What else you would ask for. Love it.
