About Seymour
Seymour is in the Victorian High Country Region located in the state of Victoria. The post code for Seymour is 3660.
Seymour marks the junction of the Hume and Goulburn Highways and is the gateway to the beautiful Goulburn Valley region, ideally suited for fishing, water sports and nature walks. Surveyed in 1841, the town was named after Lord Seymour, son of the 11th Duke of Somerset. In 1909 Seymour was recommended as a suitable centre for military camps and mobilisation stores.
