From the outside, Sugo appears almost residential, with its welcoming wooden verandah on the outside. The decor was homely and relaxed. There was ample parking located at the rear of the restaurant. The wait staff were prompt, and pleasant enough. Specializing in pizza, pasta and risotto, the food was absolutely delicious, and the servings generous. Beverage wise, Sugo boasts quite an extensive wine list, and also numerous tempting cocktails ($14.5). I tried the ciabatta with olive oil and balsamic vinegar ($4, 6 pieces). The plates had been warmed and the bread was warm and crusty, and tasted as if it has just been baked. To follow, I tried the farfalle with flaked duck, tomato, mushroom and baby lentils ($21). The duck was tender, the tomato fragrant, it was amazing. To finish I had coffee and tried the flourless hazelnut and chocolate cake withe espresso ice cream ($10.5). The cake was warm and moist, very rich and dense, garnished with roasted hazelnuts. The coffees were smooth and hot, a nice change to the lukewarm coffees I am often served elsewhere. It was overall a pleasant dining experience and I am sure I will go back, if only just to try the profiteroles filled with citrus cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce.
