Cutting edge fine dining, featuring provincial French cuisine, defines Embrasse Restaurant. This intimate venue in Carlton features classic European accentuations and an innovative seasonal menu designed with prestige and quality that parallels their ornate dining room. Chef Nicolas Poelaert’s classic French training and love for rustic dishes from childhood informs his menu; his dishes harmonize quality local produce and homegrown flowers & herbs –sourced locally wherever possible– and are seasonal expressions. Beautifully fashioned Embrasse dishes may include pork fillet roasted & glazed with smoked syrup served with mushrooms, Jerusalem artichokes, flame grilled potato, chicory & Dijon.

Enjoy a modern French dinner and a movie at Embrasse, conveniently located across the road from Cinema Nova, Carlton. Our Drummond Street location is between Faraday Street and Elgin Street and there is street parking available and two paid parking stations located close by.

Aside from the main dining room, we have the Chef's Table and two private dining rooms.

MODERN FRENCH CUISINE AT EMBRASSE

Our cuisine is built on the basis of traditional and non traditional French techniques, using Australian produce sourced locally and selected because of its excellent quality. We let the seasons express themselves and use of a large variety of herbs and edible flowers. The kitchen goes to the market 4 times a week and we also work with local farmers.

Our menu can be easily adapted for many dietary requirements. We can accommodate vegetarian degustations and cater for special diets and vegans. We tailor our degustation menus to each table from 5 courses onwards.

The wine list is well rounded, but strongly favours French and Victorian wines. We also carry a range of rare French aperitifs and digestives.
