Bomboras Cafe Bar Overview

For great food & atmosphere it’s hard to go past Bomboras Café Bar in Torquay. It is indeed hard to miss this place, with its funky orange decor, relaxed outdoor seating & easygoing vibe that carries through from early ’til late. Service is friendly and efficient while the gourmet pizzas are some of the best in Torquay. Inspired by the owners’ extensive travels, the ever changing menu brings together fresh local produce & flavours from around the globe. Dishes range from the light to the more than substantial; look for their lamb shanks served with sweet potato mash with a red wine, honey and root vegetable sauce or the 220g eye fillet stuffed with sundried tomatoes and fetta.

We are located in the heart of Torquay's surfing precinct, opposite the Rip Curl and Quicksilver stores, on the Surfcoast Hwy as you driver into Torquay. Our décor shows we've embraced the surfing culture of Torquay with some very rare and vintage surf photography and boards adorning the walls – it all makes for a funky and relaxed fit out here.

BOMBORAS CAFÉ BAR SIGNATURES

All our Gourmet Pizzas are very famous and exclusive to Bomboras. From the mains menu there are the lamb shanks served on sweet potato mash with a red wine, honey and root vegetable sauce. Or there is potato rosti, topped with your choice of mushroom, red wine jus or creamy garlic sauce.

We serve a huge variety of signature dishes, from some of the best gourmet pizzas to steaks fit for the devoted meat lover; there are seafood dishes, salads and burgers. Something for everyone's taste & budget.

After travelling the world in our early 20's my business partner Josh and I opened Bomboras with the view of creating a place to eat in a coastal town that we wish we stumbled upon in our travels. We aim to bring as many flavours as we can back to Torquay as well as putting our owe spin on some Australian favourites.

We are fully licensed till 1am and feature a wine list, extensive bottled beer varieties, & a full range of sprits and cocktails. Our alfresco option seats up to 30 people and can get really crowded when the weather's right.

Food is always fresh and tasty. Staff are friendly and service is outstanding - even on a busy summers day. Pizzas are to die for as is the spring rolls. A must for locals and any visitors.... Highly recommended.

we had a wonderful meal at Bomboras, i have had the Pizzas many times before and they are always fantastic, but this time i tried the eye fillet and i was really impressed, it really does cover everyones tastes.

it is the best restaurant ever. if you are reading this you must go. if you go i recomend the mussles they are so good my mouth waters if i think about them. its the best place to eat out at. its great value, great food, great service and great setout. by sienna ray 2010
