The Fisherman's Wharf Cafe was a finalist in the 2011 Gippsland Business Awards. We are proud of this achievement as we have only been at the Fisherman's Wharf for the past 2 years, though the owner operators and chefs have been previously fine tuned as a team in Eden NSW.

The Fisherman's Wharf has 3 new exciting menus including a vegetarin menu, and childrens menu. We cater for all dietary needs.

If enjoying time on the water over the Easter period, why not tie up your boat out the front of the Fisherman's Wharf. Enjoy a lovely relaxing meal while looking out at the water, before setting sail.

For evening meals try our brand new resturant Boathouse Pizza Bar and Grill at 11-13 the Esplande Paynesville.(Old IGA store), next to the Paynesville post office.

The Boathouse is the newest resturant in Paynesville offering a relaxed atmosphere for coffee, cake, lunch or the Boaties brunch on a Saturday or Sunday all day.

In the evening enjoy our fine dinning with a menu to cater for all taste buds. From the gourmet pizza's, to the fresh local seafood, mouth watering pasta, steaks to die for as well as a childrens menu, vegetrian or special dietary needs. There is more great dishes available.

There is boat access at Progress jetty directly across the road. Ample car, boat and caravan parking is also available.

We went for a romantic meal for two; nice setting. A little bit loud for us, however the meals more than made up for it. VERY generous seafood platter and we will be going back again.

We ordered the Madras curry barramundi on seafood risotto and the Scotch Fillet steak (medium-rare). The fish was cooked to perfection, soft, tender, delicious, with a delightfully seasoned aromatic crust. The risotto bed was perfectly cooked, tasty and added a refreshing textural contrast to the fish. The steak was similarly cooked to perfection. The mushroom sauce complemented the meat and the accompanying vegetables were visually appealing and fresh. Chef's talents were clearly on display, and were a definite asset to this restaurant. We'll be back on our next visit to Paynesville.

A fantastic view and ambience from a wonderful cosy restaurant. Service is excellent and friendly. The menu diverse and well organised. A credit to the owners and head chef. Book ahead recommended. I recommend the prawn starter!

We go to Fishermans Wharf approx every 3 weeks as we have a boat moored at Paynesville and eat here every time we go to stay on our yacht. The new owners are terrific and really know how to run a restaurant. Their chef is excellent. The only downfall is - we have to book a head of time (from Melbourne) to get in. That shows how excellent this restaurant is. Great staff & service, great food, great view over the water. Love it. Keep up the good work guys!

Having just returned from San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf I found nothing to compare to their namesake at Paynesville, A true culinary experience for all to enjoy, the Service was as incredible as the meal. congratulations to all concerned. I look forward to a return visit.
