Alto Cucina Lounge & Bar Overview

Freshly reinvented, Alto Cucina Lounge & Bar (previously known as The Deck) in Highton is an exciting new Italian restaurant to hit Geelong's dining scene. Head chef and owner Elisabetta Liburdi had the idea of taking her guests through a culinary journey of Italy. The wonderfully flavoursome result is, every season, different dishes highlighting different regions of Italy, cooked in a traditional style now seldom found in Australia. A good range of wines from Australia and Italy, as well as a wide selection of other drinks, can be enjoyed either at your table or in the lounge area on comfy leather couches. Their pasta menu is full of delicious sauces with pasta matching recommendations.

I have not found a traditional italian restaurant like this for years, the home made pasta and gnocchi is beautiful. Absolutely loved it.

I have been there twice now - once on a Sat night and once through the week. My daughter has been 3 times and the food every time has been superb. My 6yo grand daughter loves the gnocchi. Great children's menu too. Not the usual rubbish menu for children.
Staff are very friendly and met the Chef the last time I was there on a Wed night. She is lovely.
Please try the squid ink linguine with the marinara sauce - it is to die for!!
Come to think of it everything we have tried has been so full of flavour.
The home made past makes such a difference.

Very friendly and happy staff. Great authentic Italian dishes with "wow-factor" presentation. Excellent Wine list. Love the ambience and street views. Enjoyable live Italian musical entertainment. Would highly recommend to family and friends.
