Meadowbank Estate Overview

There’s an essence of majestic appeal at Meadowbank Estate restaurant in Cambridge; there's no air of pretension here and it exudes natural beauty and warmth. Just 15 minutes from Hobart, the drive will take you through the superb Coal River Valley wine region. Inside a stylish dining area boasts floor to ceiling windows with spectacular vineyard views. Service is brisk and accomplished but the food emerges as the highlight. Kick off with rabbit rillette, crostini and cornichons, followed by slow cooked oxtail served with speck, leek, English spinach and chestnuts (a winter favourite) and don’t leave without trying the passionfruit soufflé and vanilla bean ice-cream.

If you are looking for the epitome of cool climate food and wine experiences, your search is over... Just 15 minutes drive from the Hobart waterfront puts you on the doorstep of Meadowbank Estate's multi award-winning restaurant, cellar door and function centre in Cambridge. Surrounded by a sea of vines, and overlooking the spectacular Coal River Valley, you will find yourself immersed in Tasmania's wine country and all the sensory treats it has to offer.

FUNCTIONS
Our facilities have been designed for maximum flexibility. By using mobile barrel walls we can create exactly the right space for your group. Meadowbank Estate can accommodate a maximum of 250 people on round tables for a sit down dinner. With the addition of Hoeckers erected in front of the building, we can cater for up to 450 for a sit down meal. The restaurant can be separated from the barrel room by using our floor to ceiling glass doors. Of course the capacity of Meadowbank Estate varies with the style of function, so browse the floorplan on our website.

You will see that there are several different dining styles available for functions, and we are happy to combine these within the one menu. The menus outlined are really for you to get an idea of what we're about and what we can offer, but if you have an idea for your function, we want you to tell us about it so that we can try and tailor a package to your specific needs and budget.

WEDDINGS
Marriage and commitment ceremonies can be held in or outdoors at Meadowbank Estate. Whether it's a summer ceremony amongst the vines or a winter one indoors by our roaring open fire, the magnificent view over the vineyard and the valley provides the perfect backdrop. Access to Meadowbank is available from 5.30pm for evening ceremonies. A site fee will be charged for on-site ceremonies in conjunction with your reception.

Should you require a private room on the day of your wedding The Tower Gallery is a beautiful and private area you can have all to yourself. You can sit and relax while you get ready for your big day. Room hire is charged for a fee and includes: small portable CD player, full length mirror and table mirrors, hanging rack, sewing kit, safety pins, tissues, wipes, jug and basin and a new comb, bobby pins and hairspray. Food and beverages can also be provided by prior arrangement.
