About Martini Ristorante

With Italian soul and a taste for international flavours, Martini Ristorante on The Parade brings to Norwood a unique dining experience full of creative cuisine. Casual yet sophisticated, Martini Ristorante uses fine, delicate touches in layout, lighting and design to create an intimate ambience with Mediterranean panache. Using SA’s renowned fresh seasonal produce whenever possible, the menu highlights contemporary dishes from Italy’s various regions – think veal and chicken polpette, sugo and Grana Padano to start. For the main, slice a knife into perfectly cooked grilled Black Angus striploin and smashed rosemary potatoes, or twirl your fork around pasta plates such as pappardelle, with pork fennel sausage, chestnuts and saffron mushrooms, best enjoyed with a glass of red wine.

A few words from Martini Ristorante

Owner, Larry Piscioneri has a passion for cooking that stems from a childhood filled with good food, most of which was homemade or homegrown. Larry stated, "I believe my passion for cooking and the love I have for my restaurant, slowly influences my staff, all of whom come to love Martini Ristorante as much as I do."

Larry started his career as an apprentice chef at Da Clemente in Rundle Street in 1986. Since the start of his career he has built on the knowledge of what it is to be a chef and had learned the core processes of professional kitchens and how to run it smoothly, but most of all he was able to use his creativity to create a menu that speaks of his Italian heritage, but incorporates a modern twist that keeps his customers coming back for more.

Martini's menu consists of the basics of most Italian menus; antipasto, assaggi, pizze, pasta, secondi e dolci. Each one of these sections consists of old-fashioned dishes with a modern flavour. Martini's menu, despite representing the authentic flavours of Italy as a whole, Larry often finds himself leaning towards his Southern Italian heritage.

Despite the reasonably sized menu, offering tasty treats for a food lovers palate, it is not uncommon for a regular customer to walk in, bypass the friendly staff and go straight to the heart of the kitchen and ask "what's the specialty of the day?" This is referred to as a Chef's Table; a dining experience that stems from Larry's loyal following of food enthusiasts, but is open to all patrons and is Martini's most popular style of dining. The Chef's Table is a unique degustation style of dining, where guests are presented with a variety of platters to share. This allows the kitchen to cook with fresh ingredients and a creative flare, often boasting unique dishes that are not featured on the a la carte menu. The most satisfying part is that no one knows (not even the kitchen) what is going to be served, so it offers guests the chance to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine from the extensive wine list while basking in the company of family and friends.

Martini Ristorante is a rustic, yet modern restaurant, serving authentic Italian food, using fresh raw ingredients and adding a few extras to bring to Adelaide a quality dining experience

totally tasteful! we had dinner there last night and did the chef's table for 4pp - basically they feed you, no decisions need to be made and it offered a great range... only downfall, i find it quite loud when they have a full house and a little difficult to hear fellow diners. great atmosphere tho and the pasta dishes are faultless!

Most enjoyable visit to this Restaurant recently, the food was excellent, very pleasant surroundings. The staff appear to enjoy their work, great to find, as its not always the case when one eats out. Look forward to my next visit.
