Thai Tea

Thai Tea



Ingredients

4 cups water
4 black tea bags
3/4 cups sugar
2 anise stars
1 green cardamom pod, smashed
2 whole cloves
1/2 cup milk of your choice (cows milk, almond)
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk (or pouring cream if you prefer)
ice

Method

Boil water in saucepan and add tea bags, sugar, anise starts, cardamom pod and cloves.

Stir continuously until sugar dissolves. Gently boil tea for about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Steep for 30 minutes and allow it to cool.

Remove the tea bags and spoon out the anise starts, cardamom pod and cloves. If tea is still warm,refrigerate until cold.

Fill glasses with ice and pour in Thai tea until it reaches 3/4 up the glass. Pour in equal measures of milk and sweetened condensed milk to fill the rest.
