Finz Overview

Paradise does exist - in the Portico building in Port Douglas, at Finz Restaurant. Sublime seafood and other dishes are paired with excellent service, sunset views and an ambience that is tropics met with modern appeal. If you’ve had a lucky day on one of the local charter boats, bring in your catch and the chef will even cook it for you! Otherwise, choose from a mouth-watering a la carte menu that could include local Moreton Bay bugs or prawns gently simmered in a light garlic butter and white wine cream sauce, finished with dressed spinach and crusty bread, or a traditional Spanish paella featuring fresh mixed seafood, chicken, chorizo, saffron, chilli, garlic and smoky paprika.

Finz offers you the freshest of locally-sourced seafood available in Port Douglas and has become a locals and visitors favourite when it comes to seafood. Dining at Finz is a casual and relaxing experience - choose a table inside in comfortable, modern surroundings or go "al fresco" with a table outside at the front of the restaurant, perfect for our balmy tropical climate.

LOCATION
Finz is located in beautiful Port Douglas, about 60km north of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia. You will find the restaurant located in the Portico Building right on Macrossan Street and diagonally opposite the Port Douglas Post Office. Ample parking is provided under the restaurant with access off Davidson Street - the driveway is right beside Brumby's Bakery.

ABOUT
We believe that there is something for everyone on the menu at Finz; the freshest of locally-sourced seafood as well as superb non-seafood menu items. Most of the fish at Finz is fresh & line-caught (not frozen or farmed), the fresh oysters are shucked to order and live mudcrab is available fresh from the tank. We also have live crayfish from time to time (whenever it is available, its in our tank).

THE MENU
Daily specials and fish of the day are always displayed on our blackboards. Popular species such as Coral Trout, Red Emperor, Nannygai and Barramundi are often available as our fish of the day. House specialities at Finz include our Grilled Seafood Trio, traditional Spanish Paella, house-made Coconut Laksa, Whole Crispy Reef Fish, Chilli Mudcrab and our famous Seafood Tier for 2 for the ultimate seafood feast.

For those wanting something other than seafood, there are a number of non-seafood items on offer such as our superb Chicken Saltimbocca, premium quality grass-fed Eye Fillet Steak and our delicious pasta dishes - Cannelloni, Linguini or Gnocchi.

Children are welcome at Finz, please ask your waiter for our childrens' menu.

This place is a Gem in Port Douglas. Had the Seafood Tier for 2 and it was sensational. Beautifully presented, excellent choice in seafood and really great portions. Well done Finz
